WSDL Asia is open to school students from 21 countries and territories around Asia, and will take place online over the spring of 2022.
WSDL is a unique tournament which is held in a weekly league format with prelim rounds after school on Wednesday evenings starting on March 9th, with a Finals Day to be held in mid-May for the top teams.
The inaugural WSDL Asia, held during the Fall 2021 semester, comprised 24 schools from 10 countries and territories across the continent, and was won by Ateneo Senior High School from the Philippines. We are very excited to expand the tournament further for this second edition and introduce both Open and Junior breaks!
We are also thrilled to announce our Chief Adjudicators; Shruti Deb from India, Klaudia Maciejewska from Poland, and Tota Takahashi from Japan. They will join our slate of world class invited judges from across the globe.
WSDL students also benefited from an exclusive online workshop last semester with members of the Harvard College Debating Union, our partners in WSDL, who shared some priceless advice on college admissions and how to maximize your chances of getting into the university of your choice. We plan to run similar exclusive events this time around.
